Winter is Coming...

Hola, hola!

Hace poco participé en un concurso de un grupo de Facebook en que debíamos realizar un maquillaje inspirado en Game of Thrones y este es el look que yo creé. Hace tiempo que estaba buscando una excusa para usar esta técnica para las "púas" y este fue el momento preciso. Me inspiré principalmente en el Trono de Hierro y en el fuego de los dragones, porque...dragones, por eso.

A little while ago I participated in a Facebook group contest where we had to create a makeup look based on Game of Thrones, and this is what I did. I had been waiting for an excuse to try the "spikes" technique and this was the perfect time. I was mainly inspired by the Iron Throne and a dragon's fire, because... dragons, that's why.

Glitter, glitter, glitter!

Bueno... Creo que ya está claro que no soy la mejor en esto de mantener un blog. Pero de verdad quiero empezar a postear con mayor regularidad así que me estoy armando un horario y buscando una solución para ver que hacer durante el invierno. Si ustedes me pudieran dar algunas sugerencias de cosas que les interesaran, lo apreciaría muchísimo! :)

So... I think it should be clear by now that I suck at blogging. But I really, really, really want to start doing this a bit more seriously, so I'm trying to come up with a schedule and a solution for the dark winter days. If you guys could help me with a few suggestions on posts I would greatly appreciate it! :)

Ahora que terminé de dar vueltas, vamos al look! Esta semana en NTMS, un grupo de facebook al que pertenezco, tuvimos un desafío de usar glitter y este es mi intento (uno de dos, de hecho).

I Fail - Day 9

2 weeks into the semester and school is already kicking my butt :c

I've been ridiculously busy, running around campus, trying to sign up for classes, adjusting my schedule, so by the one I get home I am K.O'd.

I definitely don't want to drop this, so I'll pick the "90 days" back up, but I know I won't be able to post every single day, is that cheating?

I'll try to build up a schedule for the blog so it's not all random and with my Mondays being free (yay!) I should have more time to organize everything :)

Now, I do bring a peace offering: pics of my current manicure! I gave water marbling (sp?) another go and I am still not convinced. It's so much hassle and product and time for a look that I'm not so keen on... But I do believe this has been the most successful try, yet!

Christmassy Reverse Smokey Eye

Is "Christmassy" even correctly spelt? Anyway…

Hi! I'm back for today with this look and for the sake of stating the obvious, it's a reverse smokey eye (where you concentrate the darkest and smokiest at the lower lashline) with Christmassy colors (red, green and gold).

This was this week's challenge for "Never Too Much Sparkle," a Facebook group about makeup I'm part of, so you might see this look floating around in other places.
